HIGH SCHOOL:Â A 2008 graduate of Deer Valley High School...earned Bay Valley Athletic League honors in track all four years (2004-08)...was a first-team selection from 2006-08...named team captain as a senior in 2008...track team won four consecutive BVAL and NCS titles...won the Golden Shoe award for the Wolverines cross country team in 2007...also earned MVP and outstanding defense honors for the basketball squad in 2007.
PERSONAL:Â Daughter of Tina and James Cox...has two sisters, Jalicia and Jamira...Jalicia attends Laney College in Oakland, Calif...was also recruited by Cal Poly, Washington, Cincinnati, Oregon and Texas...favorites include Olympic sprinter Sonya Richards, actors Heath Ledger and Kate Hudson and singer Keyshia Cole..says she chose Northridge because of the location and good coaching...says the best thing about being an athlete is "traveling, meeting new people and having someone push you to be better"...favorite website is myspace.com.
