Matadors Host Mariners in Non-Conference Dual

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN women's tennis team returns home Saturday when the Matadors host Marymount California University. The dual will begin at 11 a.m.

The Mariners are 1-0 on the season prior to their dual with the Matadors. Marymount California's sole game and win came in sweeping fashion against the University of Saint Katherine. It was the Mariners' first competition in program history since Marymount California joined the NAIA and GSAC.

CSUN is coming off a short week where their match-up against San Jose State was canceled on Sunday due to rain. Their lone competition that week was a scrimmage against Azusa Pacifc University where CSUN won the dual 5-2. The Matadors lost the doubles point but made up the difference in singles when Jolene Coetzee, Skyla Alcon, Ana Isabel Fraile Toboso, Emma Roenholt and Sibel Demirbaga all won their singles' matches.

The match-up against the Mariners will be CSUN's first ever meeting against Marymount California.
