SET 1
After Campbell claimed the first point of the match, CSUN scored two straight and would go on to lead for a majority of the opening set. After the Camels knotted the score at 4-4, the Matadors scored on four of the next five points - the last coming on a McLeod kill - to open up an 8-5 cushion. Consecutive kills from Waggoner kept CSUN in front by three (15-12) before the Camels were whistled for a ball-handling error extending the Matador lead to 17-13. A kill out of Campbell timeout propelled the Camels on a 5-1 run that knotted the score at 18-all.
