Maddie Leiphardt played in all 22 matches for CSUN as a junior in 2016 ... played all 22 matches with Julie Haake and posted an overall record of 10-12 ... finished 3-8 at No. 1 and 7-4 at No. 2 ... the pair picked up their first win of the season (21-11, 21-3) over New Mexico (Mar. 25) ... a straight set win over Concordia (Mar. 31) sent the duo on a stretch where they won nine of their final 13 matches ... had CSUN's only win against Long Beach State in the No. 1 match (21-16, 21-16) on Mar. 31 ... won two of four matches at the Big West Championship, defeating Sacramento State and CSU Bakersfield (Apr. 29).
SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE
Leiphardt spent two seasons (2013, 2014) at Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, Calif. ... was the setter and team captain for coach Ed Gover ... posted a team-high 835 assists (9.28 aps) and 205 digs (2.28 dps) as a sophomore in 2014 ... also served 26 aces for the Vaqueros who finished the season with a 20-6 overall record ... was named Western State Conference North Player of the Year as well as conference MVP and was selected for Southern California All-Regional Team ... earned her associate of arts degree in 2015.
DOS PUEBLOS HIGH SCHOOL
Leiphardt competed in both volleyball and soccer at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, Calif. ... was a starting setter for the Chargers as well as team captain ... earned team Most Valuable Player honors ... also was a starting midfielder for the soccer squad ... graduated in 2013 with a 3.2 grade point average.
