Kristey Markle played in 16 of CSUN's 18 matches as a sophomore ... paired with Autumn Russell for all 16 matches, finishing the season with a 6-10 record ... the pair finished 2-2 in four matches playing at No. 3 and were 4-8 in 12 matches at No. 4 ... had CSUN's lone win at No. 3 in the season opener at Concordia-Irvine and also beat Sacramento State, CSU Bakersfield, Cal State LA and Arizona State.
CSUN - 2016 (Freshman)
Markle played in all 22 matches in her first season of beach volleyball at CSUN ... paired with Rachel Gam for 18 matches and the duo posted a record of 8-10 ... finished 0-8 at No. 3 and 8-2 at No. 4 ... after opening the season 1-4, the pair finished 7-6 which included wins over Sacramento State and CSU Bakersfield at the Big West Championship ... also played four matches with Aeryn Owens finishing with a record of 1-3, also playing at No. 3.

Markle was a four-year starter and letterwinner at El Toro High School in Lake Forest, Calif. ... earned first team All-Seaview League in 2013 and 2014 as an outside hitter for the Bulls ... was also named team Most Valuable Player in 2013 ... earned all-tournament honors at the Mid State Tournament ... her team finished 17-9 for coach Monty Johns ... graduated in 2015 with a 3.6 grade point average.
