CSUN - 2017 (Junior)
Nicolette Pinkney played in all 18 matches for the Matadors as a junior ... paired with Nicoletta Stork for all 18 matches, posting a 6-12 overall record ... finished the season 5-10 playing at No. 5 and 1-2 at No. 4 ... won in three sets over CSU Bakersfield for the pairs first win of the season and also posted victories over Colorado Mesa, Cal Poly, Cal State LA, Concordia and Arizona State ... three of the teams' wins came in three sets.
CSUN - 2016 (Sophomore)
Pinkney played in 20 of CSUN's 22 matches as a sophomore in 2016 ... played in 17 matches with Nicoletta Stork and posted an overall record of 8-9, playing primarily in the No. 5 spot ... wound up 4-9 at No. 5 and 4-0 in the extra match ... finished undefeated at 3-0 partnered with Rachel Diaz with wins over CSU Bakersfield (Mar. 3) and Sacramento State and Cal Poly at the Big West Championship (Apr. 29-May 1) ... had one of two wins by the Matadors in the season ending 3-2 loss to Cal Poly ... was one of five Matador players named to the 2016 Big West All-Academic Team.
CSUN - 2015 (Freshman)
Pinkney played in all 11 matches for CSUN as a freshman in 2015 ... played all 11 matches with Julie Haake and posted an overall record of 3-8 at the No. 3 position ... defeated Cal Poly in straight sets (Mar. 7) as CSUN defeated the Mustangs 4-1 ... also posted wins over TCU (Mar. 10) and Boise State (Mar. 28) ... fell in three sets to No. 5 Long Beach State (Mar. 12) and Nebraska (Mar. 27).
GRANITE BAY HIGH SCHOOL
Pinkney earned three varsity letters in volleyball at Granite Bay High School in Granite Bay, Calif. ... was a starter at outside hitter and team captain for coaches Jamie Ingram and Tricia Plummer ... was a two-time first team All-Sierra Foothill League selection in 2012 and 2013 as well as earning Sacramento All-Metro Team and Sacramento All-City Team honors as a senior ... was selected to the Senior Optimist Team in 2014 ... the Grizzlies were Div. I state champions in 2013 with a perfect 45-0 record and were NorCal runners-up in 2012 ... graduated in 2014 with a 3.8 grade point average.

Born August 27, 1996 in Sacramento, Calif. ... parents are Lori and Brett Pinkney ... has one older brother, Nathan who plays water polo at Long Beach City College ... her father attended North Dakota State and her mother attended University of North Dakota ...also played for the Northern California Volleyball Club ... was also recruited by UC Irvine, UC San Diego, Penn and West Point ...favorites include the San Francisco 49ers, pro beach player April Ross, actors Zac Efron, Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, the TV show "Friends" and the movies "Miracle", "The Heat" and "Pitch Perfect" ... says she chose CSUN because "I loved the campus and the coaching staff" ... says the best thing about being an athlete is "having the team be your second family" and the toughest is the "time management with school and friends" ... says she picked her uniform number because "I have been #12 as long as I can remember, I haven't played a volleyball game without it."
