2011 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 11 matches…took three shots, one of which was on goal and went in…added one assist for a total of three points...selected Academic All-Conference.
2010 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 14 of 19 matches for the Matadors…took five shots, three of which were on goal.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Bowlin competed in 17 matches, starting on six occasions on the backline for UNLV in 2009…finished with two points on two assists…three of his five shots were on-goal.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Weber High School…a four-year starter for Weber High at defender, midfield and forward…team was state finalist his final three seasons, and won the region his senior year…earned first team All-State honors in 2009, and honorable mention in 2008…a three-time All-Area selection…a two-time team offensive MVP and Varsity MVP honoree…named to the all-state tournament team in 2007…led La Roca (club team) to two state championships during his time on the team (2004-09), and was team captain as well also was in the Utah ODP program between 2004-08, and team captain for the region IV team in 2008…captain for the Real Salt Lake U-18 squad from 2006-08…helped RSL to the MLS Cup championship, and a bid to the Youth World Cup in Madrid, Spain.
PERSONAL: Born in Kansas City, Mo…son of Dan and Nancy Bowlin…has one sister, Heather and one brother, Mark…sister played softball at Utah (2001-04)…his favorites include the movie "Blood Diamond" and his mother's tuna casserole…likes to listen to reggae music in his free time…his greatest hero is Bob Marley because he "emancipated a whole race through rhythm"…his advice to young people is "Parents are never wrong."
