OUTDOOR: Placed second in the hammer throw (174-9) at the Mar. 10 CSUN All-Comers while coming in third (146-8) in the discus during the meet…was third at the Mar. 24 Northridge Invitational (181-2) in the hammer throw…scored in the hammer throw at the Big West Championship by recording a season best 185-4 to come in fifth.
INDOOR: Charted a career best toss in the weight throw of 56-2 to finish 13th at the MPSF Championship...was 13th in the weight throw at the Husky Classic Feb. 9 (55-2)...named Academic All-MPSF.
2017 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Placed ninth at the Big West Championship in the hammer throw with a season-best toss of 186-5...won the hammer throw at the 2017 Rainbow Relays with a throw of 178-1...placed 14th at the Big West Championship in the discus with a season-best throw of 156-5.
INDOOR: Finished 19th at the MPSF Championship with a toss of 54-4 3/4...placed third with a season-best throw of 55-0 3/4 at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver event.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two years on the track and field team at Riverside City College...earned All-State honors in the discus and hammer throw.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Desert Hot Springs High School...a four-year letter winner in track...played two years of football for the Golden Eagles...earned a pair of All-League honors in track and field.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 14, 1996...son of Valcine and Andre Brown...has one sister, Laurie, and one brother, Andre...favorites include Will Smith and "Hancock" ... majoring in Kinesiology.
