2019 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Advanced to the NCAA National Championships during the NCAA West Regional May 25 when he reset his own school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 225-1…finished third at the regional meet...would end up placing 20th in the hammer at the national championships…repeated as Big West Champion in the hammer when he recorded a toss of 217-11…won the hammer at the USC Invitational Mar. 16 and the Arizona Desert Heat Classic Apr. 27…posted a career best in the discus (168-9) with a fifth place finish at the Desert Heat Classic.
INDOOR: Reset the school record in the weight throw when he posted a toss of 67-6 1/4 during a fourth-place finish at the UW Invitational Jan. 25…finished fifth in the weight throw at the MPSF Championship Feb. 22...won the weight throw at the Air Force Holiday Open Dec. 7 (67-6 1/4).
2018 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: His school record 223-11 in the hammer throw which was recorded during the Apr. 14 Triton Invitational ended up being the fifth longest in the West Region…won the Big West Conference title in the hammer with a toss of 210-3…also won the hammer at the Northridge Invitational Mar. 24…finished second in the hammer at the UCSD Triton Invitational and was second in the hammer (207-10) at the Desert Heat Classic on Apr. 28….charted third (212-0) in the hammer at the Beach Pacific Coast Intercollegiate on Apr. 19…was third in the discus at the Northridge Invitational with a season best 160-5…placed 10th in the discus at the Big West Championship (157-2).
INDOOR: Finished third at the MPSF Championships in the weight throw with a toss of 63-6 3/4, the second longest in school history…was sixth in the weight throw at the UW Invitational (60-0 1/4) and eighth at the Husky Classic (59-8 1/4).
PRIOR TO CSUN: A member of the track and field team at Modesto Junior College from 2014-16…finished second in the hammer throw at the 2016 CCCAA State Championships and was fourth in the discus…is second in Modesto school history in the hammer (195-9)…is sixth in Modesto history in the discus (164-2)...attended the College of the Sequoias from 2016-17 but did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Sierra Pacific High School…finished 13th in the state championships in the discus as a senior…a four-time league champion in wrestling…lettered in football as an offensive lineman.
PERSONAL: Son of Melissa and Eric Loomis…a sociology major…has two brothers (Ethan and Eian) and one sister (Erikka)…favorites include the Los Angeles Dodgers, Koji Murofushi, Anne Hathaway, Law & Order SVU, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers…his best advice to young people is “to never give up on your dreams”...his parents are his greatest heroes as “they taught him to never give up or quit.”
