2019 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Tossed the discus 183-3, the seventh longest performance in CSUN history, in finishing second at the Triton Invitational Apr. 13… placed fourth at the Big West Championship (175-1) May 11…advanced to the NCAA West Regional where he finished 23rd overall (176-10)…won the San Diego Collegiate Challenge to open the outdoor season Mar. 9 (167-2)…recorded three second-place finishes during the year (USC Invitational Mar. 16, Stanford Invitational Mar. 30, and Arizona Desert Heat Classic Apr. 27).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2018 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for NCAA West Regional with a toss of 177-1 which was registered on Apr. 28 during the Desert Heat Classic…did not place at regionals by fouling on each of three attempts…finished second at the Big West Championship behind teammate Daniel Swartbrick in the discus with a throw of 174-2…posted second place showings in the discus at the CSUN All-Comers on Mar. 10 and the Northridge Invitational Mar. 24.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Helped lead the College of the Sequoias to the 2017 CCCAA State Championship...finished second in the discus at the state championship after winning the NorCal Championship title in the discus…also won the Bay Valley Conference championship in the discus…as a freshman in 2016, Hunter won the CVC Championship in the discus and would place ninth in the event at the 2016 CCCAA state meet…competed for the College of the Sequoias football team from 2015-16, starting at defensive end.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Mission Oak High School…earned first team All-League honors as a senior…track and field team won the 2013 league championship…chosen second team All-City in football on two occasions as team won two league titles…lettered in basketball two times.
PERSONAL: Son of Adrian Hunter and Tracy Hull…an economics major…uncle James Hunter played in the NFL for the Baltimore Colts…favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, and Will Smith…his advice to young people is “to work hard to achieve your goals”…his greatest heroes are his mom and dad because “they gave me all what they did and got me to where I am with the little they had.”
