OUTDOOR: Won the BIg West Championship in the shot put (58-7 3/4) and the discus (180-6)...finished second in the discus at the Oxy Invitational (167-7)...won the shot (57-2 3/4) and the discus (166-3) at the Cal State LA Tiny Lister Invitational...was second in the shot (56-3 3/4) and discus (169-9) at the Bryan Clay Invitational...won the shot at the Cal/Nevada Championship (58-0 1/2)...won the shot at the Northridge Invitational (59-2 1/4).
INDOOR: Finished fourth in the shot at the MPSF Indoor Championship (55-10 1/2)...posted season best in the shot (59-6 1/4) in winning the UW Invitational...his mark at UW was the third best in school history.
2009 (R-JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Won the discus (171-7) at the Big West Championship...finished second in the shot at the Big West Championship (56-3 1/4)...was second in the discus in both events at the UCLA Rafer Johnson Invitational...was second in the discus at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
2008 (R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Reached the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the discus and finished 16th in the prelims with a throw of 167-11...qualified for his second straight NCAA West Regionals in the discus and first in the shot put...placed seventh in the discus at 184-6 and was eighth in the shot at 58-3 3/4 won the Big West Outdoor Championship in the discus with a mark of 179-0 and finished second to the teammate Alex Butler in the shot put with a throw of 57-2...earned All-USTFCCCA All-West Region honors in both the discus and shot put...threw a lifetime-best of 186-5 (56.83) in the discus at the Mt. SAC Relays which ranks second in Matador history...finished third in the shot put at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational with a lifetime-best 59-2 3/4 which is sixth in Northridge history.
INDOOR: Placed ninth in the shot put at the MPSF Indoor Championship with a personal-best 57-2 1/4 which ranks eighth in Northridge Indoor history.
2007 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for the discus throw at the NCAA West Regionals and finished 18th with a mark of 174-3...finished second in the Big West in the discus with a Matador season-best throw of 176-7...his mark ranks seventh in Northridge history...placed 10th at the Big West Championship in the shot put with a mark of 52-6...threw a season-best 53-9 3/4 at the Northridge Invitational.
INDOOR: Finished fourth in the shot put at the WAC Indoor Championship with a throw of 56-1 3/4 which ranks eighth on the Northridge Indoor career list.
2006 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Desert Pines High School...competed on the track & field and football teams...earned team MVP honors as well as the Coaches Award and was named to the Top 10 Athletic Collegiate Sports of America...the Jaguars track & field team finished as the state runner-up...also finished as state runner-up in football...graduated with a 3.4 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Paulette Netters...major is Mechanical Engineering...has three sisters, Nicole, Danielle and Jazmine...his mother attended the University of New Orleans...favorites include the Philadelphia Eagles, the TV show "Comic View" and the movie "Ray"...says the toughest thing about being an athlete is the pressure.
