2017 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished fourth at the Big West Championship in the high jump with a clearance of 6-9 1/2...advanced to the NCAA West Regional...registered a season-best clearance of 7-0 1/4 at the Northridge Invitational.
INDOOR: Placed 17th at the MPSF Championship (6-5)...recorded a season best clearance of 6-8 3/4 at the Husky Classic.
2016 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished third in the high jump at the Big West Championship by clearing 6-9 1/2...his season best was 6-10 3/4 that came during the USC Invitational.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2015 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Placed third at the Big West Championship after going a season best 6-7 1/2.
INDOOR: Was 13th at the MPSF Championship by clearing 6-6 1/4.
2014 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Won the Big West Championship in the high jump...cleared a season-best 6-9 to edge teammate Reggie Trotter on number of jumps to win the league title...finished fifth at the Longhorn Invitational after clearing 6-8.
INDOOR: Recorded an indoor-best height of 6-6 1/4 at the NYU Shootout on Jan. 17.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Quartz Hill High School...was a high jumper for the Rebels track & field squad earning first team All-League honors as well as Senior Athlete of the Year in 2013...qualified for the state meet in 2013...cleared a top height of 6-10 ...was also a forward for four years for the Rebels basketball team and played middle and outside hitter for the volleyball...also competed in football...graduated with a 3.3 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Sherinda Tape...has two brothers, Frederick and Caleb and one sister, Callie...his uncle Lohnnie Tape played basketball at Arizona State...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant and actor Will Ferrell...says one thing that makes him smile is the movie "Step Brothers".
