OUTDOOR: Paced second in the shot put with a throw of 59-7 3/4 at the Big West Championship...advanced to the NCAA West Regional in the shot put...finished 14th in the hammer throw with a throw of 172-7 at the Big West Championship...recorded a season-best throw of 184-1 in the hammer throw at the Northridge Invitational.
INDOOR: Placed 21st in the weight throw with a heave of 53-5 3/4 at the MPSF Championship...recorded a season-best throw of 53-9 1/4 in the weight throw at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver event ...won the shot put with a season best throw of 57-3 1/2 at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver.
2016 (R-JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Placed third in the shot put at the Big West Championship with a season best throw of 55-8 1/4...placed 21st in the hammer throw with a toss of 168-7 at the Big West Championship...had a season-best toss of 171-7 in the hammer throw.
INDOOR: Finished 17th in the shot put at the MPSF Championship with a season best throw of 55-11 1/4...had a season best throw of 54-9 1/4 in the weight throw.
2015 (R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Placed sixth in the shot put at the Big West Championship with a season best throw of 53-1 3/4...placed 13th in the hammer throw with a season best toss of 162-5 at the Big West Championship...had a season best toss of 55-7 1/2 in the shot put.
INDOOR: Placed 17th in the weight throw at the MPSF Championship with a toss of 50-4 3/4...finished 20th in the shot put with a toss of 51-5) at the MPSF's... had a season best toss of 52-8 1/4 in the weight throw...had a season-best toss of 51-8 1/2 in the shot put.
2014 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Finished seventh in the shot put at the Big West Championship with a CSUN season-best and personal best 53-2 3/4...was 11th in the hammer at the Big West Championship after posting a best of 157-10...his hammer season best was 166-0 which was good four sixth-place at the Bulldog Invitational on Apr. 26.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2013 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Selma High School...competed in both track & field and football...qualified for the 2012 state meet in the shot put where his season-best was 55-10...coach was Haskell Henson...was an All-State selection at both fullback and tight end for the Bears football squad.
PERSONAL: Son of Stacey and Charles Rosales...has one older sister, Kayleen...favorites include the San Francisco 49ers and running back Frank Gore, the TV show "South Park" and the music of deadmau5...says the best part about being an athlete is "competing against yourself and pushing boundaries to become a better competitor"...lists his parents as his greatest hero.
