CSUN - 2016 (Junior Season)
CJ Suarez appeared in 24 matches and 75 sets during his junior season ... started 18 matches at libero ... led the Matadors with 149 digs while averaging 1.99 digs per set which ranked sixth in the MPSF ... also had the second-best assist total on the team with 42 (0.56 aps) ... dug a career-high 13 attacks against No. 8 Hawai'i (Mar. 11) ... posted 12 digs in CSUN's 3-0 win over Mount Olive (Mar. 5), 11 digs at No. 1 UCLA (Jan. 29) and 10 digs in CSUN's 3-1 victory over No. 13 USC (Jan, 15) ... had four matches with double figures in digs to lead the Matadors ... had a career-high five assists at Cal Baptist (Feb. 12) and vs. Mount Olive.
CSUN - 2015 (Sophomore Season)
Suarez appeared in 24 matches and 90 sets in his first season on the roster ... shared libero duties with Nick Alegrado for a majority of the season ... finished the season with 120 digs (1.33 digs per set) which ranked second to Bradley Sakaida's 147 ... also recorded 18 assists ... had five digs and one assists in his first collegiate match vs. IPFW (Jan. 9) ... posted a season-high 11 digs on two occasions; vs. No. 10 Long Beach State (Feb. 13) and vs. No. 7 USC (Mar. 18) ... had at least two digs in 23 of the 24 matches he played in ... had two assists in five different matches.

Suarez redshirted for the Matadors as a true freshman in 2014.
VERDUGO HILLS HIGH SCHOOL
Suarez earned three varsity letters in volleyball at Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, Calif. ... played outside hitter for the Dons and coach William Reinhart ... earned first team All-East Valley League honors in both 2011 and 2012 ... was named league MVP in 2012 as his team won the East Valley championship ... recorded 471 kills and 238 digs as a senior in 2012 ... graduated in 2012 with a 3.3 grade point average.
