Jakub Ciesla appeared in 28 matches and 97 sets as a junior ... led the Matadors with 314 kills while averaging a team-high 3.24 kills per set which were both career highs ... his kills per set average ranked seventh in the MPSF ... hit .269 on 740 attacks ... also ranked second on the team with 112 digs, was third in aces with 19 and was fifth in blocks with 46 ... pounded a career-high 27 kills on 54 swings (.315) at Cal Baptist (Feb. 12) ... led CSUN with three double-doubles including a 19 kill-10 dig performance at No. 6 Penn State (Mar. 4) ... also had 25 kills on .310 hitting in CSUN's 3-1 win over No. 11 UC Irvine (Feb. 17) ... heads into his senior season with career totals of 610 kills and 307 digs.Â
CSUN -Â 2015 (Sophomore Season)
Ciesla appeared in 23 matches and 74 sets during his sophomore season ... finished third on the team in kills (180) and kills per set (2.43), both of which were then personal career-highs ... ranked second on the Matadors with 20 aces and 515 attacks and was fourth with 107 digs ... also posted a season-high 48 blocks with three solo stuffs ... had a season-high 22 kills on a career-high 55 swings in CSUN's 3-2 win at Cal Baptist (Mar. 20) ... completed his second double-double of the season (third career) with 19 digs against the Lancers ... also notched a double-double with 20 kills and 12 digs to lead the Matadors to a 3-1 upset won over No. 7 USC (Mar. 18) ... reached double figures in kills 10 times in 23 matches.Â
CSUN -Â 2014 (Freshman Season)
Ciesla appeared in 20 matches and 51 sets as a redshirt freshman ... finished fourth on the Matadors with 116 kills while averaging 2.27 kills per set ... on 329 swings, hit .134 to go with 88 digs (1.73 dps), 27 blocks (0.53 bps) and seven aces (0.14 saps) ... put down a season-high 13 kills on 24 swings to hit .333 in CSUN's 3-0 win over Cal Baptist (Jan. 8) ... also had 12 kills against both Pacific (Jan. 4) and #8 Stanford (Mar. 1) ... served a pair of aces against #2 BYU (Mar. 8) and #15 Ohio State (Mar. 15) ... had one of two double-doubles for the Matadors in 2014 with 10 kills and a season-high 13 digs against BYU.

Ciesla redshirted for the Matadors as a true freshman in 2013.

Ciesla was a three-sport standout at Olympic Heights High School in Boca Raton, Fla. ... earned first team All-County accolades in 2011 and 2012 ... was an outside hitter/middle blocker for the Lions and coach Shanon Lewis ... had 193 kills, 36 aces and 85 blocks as a senior ... also competed at the AAU Nationals in 2010-11... was also a high jumper and hurdler for the track & field team and a starter for the soccer team ... graduated in 2012 with a 3.85 grade point average.
