2022 (R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Ran the 400m twice, posting a best time of :50.74 to finish eighth at the CSUN Invitational...was fourth in the 400m at the Cal Poly Open...entered the 800m on two occasions, posting a best of 1:58.56 at the UCSB Invitational which also proved to be a season best finish (8th).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
PRIOR TO CSUN: A member of the men’s track and field and cross country teams at El Camino College...placed third in the 800m with a ECC-best time of 1:56.39 at the 2019 South Coast Regional Championships…advanced to the CCCAA Southern California Regional Championships in the 800m, but just missed moving to the finals as he finished ninth in the 800m…finished 69th over the 4m course at the 2019 South Coast Conference Championship.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Bishop Montgomery High School…coach was Brian Haynes…won the 800m at the 2017 Del Ray League Finals…finished second in the 800m at the 2018 Del Ray League finals…was fourth in the 800m at the 2018 CIF-SS Division 4 finals…earned team MVP honors as a junior and as a senior…prep bests were :23.50 in the 200m, :51.76 in the 400m, and 1:59.48 in the 800m…won the anatomy award, intro to calculus award, Latin award in academics.

PERSONAL: Son of Stanly and Adriana Ricketts...father ran track at Cal State Fullerton…a Biology major...favorites include the Dallas Cowboys, Quincy Watts, Denzel Washington, HoYeon Young, the TV show Euphoria, La La Land, Italian Food, Sushi, Korean Barbeque, Cyber Girlfriend, The Jacks, Max Bennet Kelly, Flasch, and his Linkedin account…chose CSUN for its location…says his greatest sports moment so far is training with his teammates during workouts and traveling with his teammates to different campuses…says the best thing about being an athlete is staying in shape, making friends with like-minded people, and meeting other athletes on campus…says the toughest thing about being an athlete is waking up at 8 a.m. to perform a difficult work out and properly preparing before workouts…the best athlete he has competed against is Isaiah Jewett…the most famous person he has met is Otis, a producer for Justin B...if he could have dinner with two people in history, it would be Barack and Michelle Obama…his advice to young people is always make a lasting impression.
