OUTDOOR: Ran the 5000m five times...lowered personal best in the 5000m to 14:36.05 when he finished third at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational...posted a season best second in the 5000m at the University of Arizona Willie Williams Classic (14:49.29)...finished 19th in the 5000m at the BIg West Championship (15:39.15)...won the 1500m at the CSUN Invitational in a season best time of 3:55.26...was second in the 1500m at the Azusa Pacific Franson Classic (3:56.98)...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Was the top finishing Matador at the NCAA West Regional...ran a 10k time of 32:12.2Â to finish 107th overall and was credited with 106th place points...his time was the fourth-fastest by a CSUN runner on a 10k course since 2000...was the top finishing CSUN runner at the Big West Championship...recorded a time of 24:38.2 which was 18th overall...his time was the fourth-fastest on an 8k course by a CSUN runner at the Division I level dating back to the 2000 season...top overall finish was 14th at The Master's Invitational as he posted a time of 25:13.7 on the 4.97m course...finished 22nd at the UC Riverside Highlander Invitational, running 24:40.4...opened the season by finishing 49th at the UC Davis Stump Invitational (25:07.5).

OUTDOOR: Just missed scoring in the 1500m at the Big West Championship as he finished ninth in a time of 3:52.38...his time was the fastest of the season and ranks him second on the Matador freshman list...scored in the 800m when he came in eighth by running 1:56.56...his 1:55.44 in the 800m prelims at the Big West Championship is in the top-10 by a freshman in school history...won the 800m at the Apr. 2 CSUN Red & Black Invitational, won the 3000m at the UCSD Triton Invitational Apr. 10, won the 1500m at the Apr. 23 Matador Invitational...ran the fastest CSUN times in the 800m, 1500m, 3000m (8:38.13), and 5000m (15:25.58).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Did not compete as Big West canceled all Fall 2020 sports.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2020 graduate of Granada Hills Charter High School...coaches were Francois Wolman, Gina Kurowski…a member of the cross country and track teams…helped win city championships in both during 2018…a part of the GHCHS team that won a 2016 freshman/sophomore city cross country title…team won LA City Section cross country championships from 2016-19 while team won LA City Section track titles from 2017-19…ran prep bests of 2:06.00 in the 800m, 4:29.75 in the 1600m, 4:39.21 in the mile, and 9:38.46 in the 3200m...competed on the club level for the Northridge Pacers and the Valley United Striders.

PERSONAL: Son of James and Cynthia Garity...an Art major...favorites include Attack on Titan and pasta...chose CSUN for the good academic and sports programs…says the toughest thing about his sports is the work that you have to put in…plays video games when he has time to relax…the best athlete he has competed against is Nico Young.
