OUTDOOR: Earned second team All-American honors in the 4x100m relay as the team finished 10th (:44.38)...the time was the third fastest in school history...4x100m relay was ninth in at the NCAA West Regional (:44.72)...finished seventh in the 100m (:11.88) at the Big West Championship..was 11th in the 200m prelims (:24.65) at the Big West's...was fifth in the 100m at the Apr. 12 Rainbow Relays (:12.71)...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Ran season bests in preliminaries of the 60m (:7.69) and 200m (:25.50) at the MPSF Championship (Feb. 28-Mar. 1)...was fifth in the 60m during the Jan. 18 Saturday Night Shootout (:7.75)...named Academic All-MPSF.Â
2013 (JUNIOR): Advanced to the NCAA West Regional in the 100m and 200m as well as the 4x100 relay,,,finished 31st (:11.69) in the 100m prelims and 41st (:24.59) in the 200m prelims but did not advance to the final...the 4x100 relay finished 17th, just out of the top-12 which advanced to the next round...finished fourth in the 100m at the Big West Championship after clocking a season-best :11.61 in the final...her time ranks ninth in school history...clocked a best and CSUN season best :23.83 (seventh in CSUN history) in the 200m prelims before finishing fourth in the final at :23.84...ran the second leg of the conference champion 4x100. relay that clocked a season-best and second-best time in CSUN history of :44.43 in the final.Â
INDOOR:Â Finished eighth in the 60m at the MPSF Championship (:7.79) after clocking a season-best :7.55 in the prelims which is the fourth-best time in Matador indoor history...placed 30th in the 200m in a personal-best :25.42.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two seasons (2011-12) at Coppin State...ran the 13 fastest 100m times for the Eagles in 2012, including a season-best :11.79 at the MEAC Championship...ran the 200m where her season-best was :24.85...had the teams second fastest indoor time in the 60 meters (:7.71)...earned MIP honors for the Eagles during the 2012 indoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Nottingham High School...earned first team All-Mercer County accolades as a senior in 2010...posted top times of :12.00 in the 100m and :25.30 in the 200m...was a National Honor Society recipient as well as a member of the National Latin Society...graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Mariama and Sahid Kamara...stepfather is Alpha G. Timbo...major is Kinesiology with an exercise science concentration...has four brothers, Bashar, Sahid, Ayoub and Hashin and three sisters, Asma, Sawdikatu and Bintu...favorites include the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Heat, the movie "Stepbrothers" and the music of Miguel...chose to come to CSUN because "I love the environment and people"...says her greatest moment in sports was"breaking my personal record in the 100 meters."
