2014 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished fourth in the heptathlon (4725), fourth in the long jump (19-5 1/4), and fifth in the 100m hurdles (:13.88) at the Big West Championship...won the 100m hurdles (:13.50) at the Rainbow Relays...posted a career-best 5-1 3/4 in the high jump to place third at the Rainbow Relays…named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Ran the ninth-fastest 60m hurdles time (:8.65) in school history to finish ninth during the preliminaries of the MPSF Championship...was 14th in the long jump (16-7 3/4) at the MPSF's...was second (:8.83) in the 60m hurdles at the Saturday Night Shootout...finished fifth (:8:85) in the 60m hurdles to begin the indoor season at the Great Dane Classic...named Academic All-MPSF.
2013 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR:Â Finished a Matador-best fifth in the heptathlon at the Big West Championship Multi-Events...scored a career best 4773 points which included an event win in the 100m hurdles (:14.44)...also reached the final of the 100m hurdles sat the Big West Championship where she finished fourth in a season-best time of :13.95...was 10th in the long jump at the Big West Championship matching her season best of 18-5 1/4.
INDOOR:Â Clocked a season-best 8.68 in the 60m at the Great Dane Classic where she placed fifth...her time ranks seventh on the all-time CSUN Indoor list...finished 16th in the pentathlon at the MPSF Championship after scoring 3263 points...finished third in the 60m hurdles in a time of :8.81.Â
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent 2011-12 at Georgia Southern...competed in the multi-events, hurdles and long jump for the Eagles and coach Marlo Mincey...finished second in the Southern Conference in the hurdles in 2012 and was third in the heptathlon in 2011...during the 2012 indoor season, finished second in the long jump and third in the hurdles.
HIGH SCHOOL:Â Â A 2010 graduate of Hamilton North High School...was the MVP of the North Stars' track & field team as a senior..was the Division III hurdles and long jump champion in 2010 and won the Meet of Champions 55 meter hurdles title...the North Stars won the Mercer County Track & Field Championship in 2010...graduated with a 3.5 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Leslie and Geter Hicks...major is communications...also competed for the Trenton Track Club...says she chose CSUN for the "great coaching staff and great training weather"...lists her top moment in sports as "running :13.76 with a torn ligament in my foot"...says the best thing about being a collegiate athlete is "the feeling after you fulfilled a goal" and the toughest is "having a mental block."
