One First Place Finish, Multiple Season Bests at Stanford Invitational

PALO ALTO, Calif.—The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams put up solid performances at the Stanford Invitational Friday and Saturday.
In addition to an event win by Taranique Alexander in the triple jump, the Matador men and women set several season personal bests at the Invitational. Bashiru Abdullahi clocked a season-best 13.91 to finish second in the men's 110 meter hurdles and Matthew Arnold posted a season-best of 15.04 in the triple jump, which was good for fifth place.

On the women's side, Maelle Douville took second in the javelin by tossing a season-best of 147.80. Brandy Williams also set a season-best with a mark of 15.41 in the shot put which was good for a third place finish.
