CSUN Grabs Multiple First Place Finishes, Crack Top-3 in Team Finishes at Triton Invite

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams notched eight personal bests on a solid Saturday that saw a pair of third place finishes for the Matador men's (63) and women's (79) teams at the Triton Invitational.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The CSUN men's and women's track and field teams notched eight personal bests on a solid Saturday that saw a pair of third place finishes for the Matador men's (63) and women's (79) teams at the Triton Invitational.

THE OVERVIEW
- Senior Sydney Mosley set a new personal record in the women's 100m Hurdles with her time of 13.44. Her time was a good enough for a first-place finish at the Invitational and is the third fastest time all-time in CSUN history behind Courtney Robinson and Heather Heron, who both share the top time of 13.39.
- Sophomore De'Andreah Young notched a first-place finish in the women's 400m Hurdles, her second victory of the season.
- Freshman Immaunela Aliu grabbed a second-place finish and set a new personal best in the women's 100m with a time of 11.68
- The Women's 4x400m relay team finished first as the quartet of Young, Mosley, Lena Kandissounon and Briana Gilchrist put up a season best time of 3:42.84 which ranks first in the Big West.
- On the men's side, Bashiru Abdullahi finished second in the 110m hurdles, tying his own personal best by running 13.91. Abdullahi's time is third best in CSUN history. Abdullahi is two weeks removed from clocking the same time during the Stanford Invitational.
- Ahmed Mohamed (15.52m) grabbed first place in the triple jump, with teammate Mathieu Tshani (14.69m) finishing just behind in second.
- Armon Hunter set a new personal record and took second place in the Discus Throw with a distance of 55.85m
- Junior Antonio Garcia grabbed fourth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.27.
