Matadors Win Three Times on Day 1 of CSUN Invitational

NORTHRIDGE, Calif.—The CSUN Men's and Women's Track and Field teams hosted day one of the CSUN Invitational Friday afternoon at the Matador Track & Field Complex.

The Matador women won a pair of events. Yanla Ndjip-Nyemeck took the top honor in the 200m. She ran :24.10 which is the seventh fastest by a freshman at CSUN.
Sameerah Evans won the long jump with a personal best leap of 18-1 3/4.
Joseph Alipranti recorded the lone Matador men's victory when he recorded a toss of 168-10 in the hammer throw.
