2010 (FRESHMAN): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Kennedy High School..played three years of varsity soccer for head coach Fred Singer...named captain of the soccer team during his senior season.
PERSONAL: Son of Angelica and Arnulfo Sanchez...an accounting major...has one brother, Arnulfo, who also attends CSUN, and one sister, Angelica...father played soccer for Club Deportivo Chivas...lists among his favorites Chivas (Mex.) and FC Barcelona, soccer star Rafa Marquez, actors Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie and Mexican Food...says the best thing about being a student-athlete is playing the sport that you love, while the toughest is early morning practice...would like to switch places for a day with Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas and lift the World Cup...the best advice he has been given is “never let someone tell you that you don’t have the talent, because they don’t know what you have inside” ...his greatest heros are his family members because they have always been there for him and are pushing him everyday.
