Hippenstiel started at setter all four years at Yucaipa High School in Yucaipa, Calif. ... was a four-year letterwinner.. earned second team All-CIF honors as well as Citrus Belt League MVP.... was also named team MVP... the Thunderbirds won Citrus Belt League
championships in 2007 and 2008.... played for coach Gail Diliberto... graduated in 2008 with a 3.6 grade point average.
