CSUN Women Win Twice; Matador Men Post 6 Top-3 Finishes at Cal

BERKELEY, Calif.—The CSUN Women's Track and Field team picked up two wins. At the same time, the Matador Men recorded six top-three performances on Saturday at the University of California's Brutus Hamilton Invitational. Â

WOMEN
For the second consecutive week, Arianna Alexander won a 100m. Alexander lowered her personal best in the 100m to :11.74 to pick up the victory. Â

Yanla Ndjip-Nyemeck won the 100m hurdles in a time of :13.42. Ndjip-Nyemeck has won all three 100m hurdles races she has entered this season. She later lowered her season-best in the 200m to :24.07 to finish second in the event. That time is the seventh fastest by a CSUN freshman in school history. Â

The 4x100m relay of Alexander, Ndjip-Nyemeck, Kaliyah Poston, and Raeshell Austin ran a season-best time of :45.75 to finish second.Â

Quinn Garity turned in the top individual performance for CSUN. Garity finished second in the 5000m, recording a time of 14:49.29. Â

The 4x100m relay of Christopher Allen, Chris Pitts, Raphael Adedigba, and David Phillips, Jr. posted a season-best time of :41.14 to finish second. Â

CSUN will be entered in the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific and the Mt. SAC Relays next week. Both meets begin on Wednesday, with the Bryan Clay Invitational running through Friday. The Mt. SAC Relays runs through Saturday.Â
