2012 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Lowered career best in the 400m hurdles to :52.35 at the Cal-Nevada Championship...reset career best in the 400m to :49.18 at the Cal State LA Tiny Lister Classic...helped CSUN to a fifth-place finish in the 4x400m relay at the Big West Championships.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2011 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Ran 53.98 in the prelims of the Big West Championship and missed out on advancing to the final by one qualifying spot...his top 400m hurdles time of the season was :53.32 at the Tiny Lister Classic where he finished second...best 400m time of the season was :50.34 at the Northridge Invitational...ran the second leg of the 4x400m relay that clocked a season-best 3:18.58 to finish seventh in the Big West Championship.
INDOOR: Ran a season-best of :52.05 in the 400 meters at the UW Invitational.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two seasons at Long Beach City College...competed as a 400m hurdler for the Vikings...best time was :52.19...earned team MVP honors in 2009 and was the Coaches Award recipient in 2008 and 2009...ran for coach John Hall.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Mira Mesa High School in San Diego, Calif...finished second in the CIF in the 300 meter hurdles in 2007 and was third in 2006...was the Eastern League champion in the 300 hurdles from 2005-07...top time was :38.54...also competed in the long jump and 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
PERSONAL: Son of Cheryl and Bobby Workman...a psychology major...has one brother, Quintin and one sister, Amber...favorite athlete is Olympic sprinter Bershawn Jackson...chose CSUN because it was "the best school that fit my needs"...says the best thing about being an athlete is "can eat anything" and the toughest is "constant need for improvement"...says if he could switch places with one person it would P Diddy.
