2011 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Ran a season-best :12.56 in the 100m at both the Northridge Invitational and San Diego State Aztec Invitational...season-best in the 200m (25.35) came at the Tiny Lister Classic at Cal State LA.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2010 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Reached the final of the 400m at the Big?West Championships finishing eighth in a time of :57.86...ran :56.99 in the event prelims...also reached the prelims of the 200m where she finished 14th in a time of :25.21...ran a lifetime-best in the 200m (24.86)?at the Tiny Lister Classic (Apr. 24) and clocked a career-best of :57.77 in the 400m at the Steve Scott Invitational (May 2).
INDOOR: Finished 19th in the 60m prelims (:8.01) at the MPSF?Indoor Championship...ran a season-best :25.32 in the 200m at the Boise State Invitational (Feb. 13)...also had a season-best of :58.78 in the 400m.
2009 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for the Big West Championships in the 100m, finishing 19th in the prelims in a time of :12.53 ... ran a season-best :12.28 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 17)...also had season-bests of :24.95 in the 200m and :58.68 in the 400m.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Scripps Ranch High School...earned four letters as a sprinter...a three-time track team MVP (2006, 2007, 2008) and was Rookie of the Year in 2005...was elected team captain in both 2007 and 2008...the Falcons won the Western League championship in 2005 and 2006...graduated with a 3.17 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Brenda and Terry Spears...stepmother is April Spears...major is Kinesiology...has two brothers, Terry and Austin and one sister, Sparkle who attended Cal State Fullerton...chose Northridge over Fresno State, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona and New Mexico...favorites include Olympic sprinters Jeremy Wariner and Tyson Gay, actor John Cusack and the band Anberlin...says running a :57 split at Arcadio as a high school sophomore was her greatest moment in sports.
