2011 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Finished 14th in the shot put at the Big West Championship...threw a best of 38-11 1/2 at the conference meet...finished the outdoor season with a top shot put mark of 41-3 1/4 which came at the Aztec Invitational (Mar. 19).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2010 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of St. Mary's Academy in Inglewood, Calif...competed in both track & field and volleyball...was the league shot put champion in 2009 and also won the track & field coaches award... the MVP of the Belles volleyball team as a senior...graduated with a 3.2 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Priscilla and Joseph Abaekobe...major is Public Health Education...has two brothers, Ronell and Nnamdi and one sister, Chioma...her father attended the University of Arkansas and also played soccer in Nigeria...says her greatest moment in sports was "receiving MVP in volleyball my senior year."
