OUTDOOR: Finished fifth in the heptathlon at the Big West Championship...scored a season-best 4931 points in helping the CSUN women to the team championship...had season-bests of 5-0 1/2 in the high jump and 17-8 1/4 in the long jump during the heptathlon...also finished seventh in the 100m hurdles (:14.23)...clocked a season-best of :14.21 in the 100m hurdles to place third at the Tiny Lister Classic...also placed fifth in the javelin (123-2) at the Big West Championship.
INDOOR: Finished ninth in the pentathlon at the MPSF Indoor Championship after scoring an indoor-best 3364 points...her total is the fifth-best in CSUN indoor history.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Competed as a heptathlete for two seasons at Sacramento City College...was the Big 8 and NorCal champion in the heptathlon and was part of the state champion 4x100 relay squad in 2009...earned CCCAA All-America honors in the 100m hurdles and 4x100 relay in 2010...earned her associate of arts degree in 2010.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Mesa Verde High School...a three sport standout in track & field, volleyball and basketball earned track MVP honors in 2005 and 2008 and basketball MVP accolades in 2006 and 2008...earned All-League honors for the Mavericks track team all four seasons (2005-08)...her track & field team won league championships in 2005, 2007 and 2008.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Agua and Vincent Jenkins...major is Psychology...has three brothers, Adrian, Andre and Andrew and one sister-in-law, Randie...her mother attended Sacramento State and her brother Andre attends Sacramento City College...favorites include the Arizona Cardinals and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, the TV show "The Game" and the movie "Love & Basketball"...chose Cal State Northridge "because it has a great track & field program that is big on education as well" ...says the one possession she could not live without is "my cell phone, it's like my life line."
