2011 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Overcame a serious injury at the beginning of the outdoor season to finish 11th in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Big West Championship...ran a time of 11:31.55 in the final...clocked a season-best of 11:24.36 at the Northridge Invitational...also ran a season-best 4:55.83 in the 1,500m at the Occidental Invitational.
INDOOR: Ran indoor season-bests of 5:26.61 in the mile, and 10:42.08 in the 3,000m at the Boise State Team Challenge.
CROSS COUNTRY: Finished 26th at the Asics/UC Irvine Invitational (18:32.40)...ran 23:30 to place 112th at the Stanford Invitational...finished a season-best 24th at the Northridge Invitational (22:05.70)...placed 47th at the Big West Championship (22:24.0)...finished 150th at the NCAA Regional Championship in a time of 22:29.10.
2010 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for the Big West Championship in the 5,000m as well as the 3,000m steeplechase...finished eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase in a time of 11:01.37...ran a season-best 18:08.58 to finish 12th among 21 runners in the final...also posted season-bests of 4:55.72 in the 1,500m, 11:07.53 in the 3,000m...
INDOOR: Placed 19th in the 5,000m at the MPSF Indoor Championship in a season-best 17:51.42...ran season-bests of 5:21.93 in the mile and 10:15.80 in the 3,000 meters.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Competed in both track and cross country at Glendale College in Antioch, Calif...was the Western State Conference cross country champion and was a CCCAA All-American in the steeplechase 2008 and 2009...the Vaqueros won the state cross country title...earned her Associate of Arts degree in 2009.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Belmont High School...competed in the steeplechase...her team finished first in the California State Championships in cross country.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Blanca Angulo and Jorge Sauceda...major is Political Science...has three sisters, Osiris, Mitzuy and Alondra and one brother, Jorge...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Olympian Ana Guevara, actor Brad Pitt, the TV?show "Friends" and Shakira...likes to sleep or watch movies in her spare time.
