2013 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Placed seventh in the decathlon at the Big West Championships with 6,472 points...helped the Matadors win the 4x100m relay at the conference meet as the team ran :40.00...finished 15th in the 100m in a career best time (:10.90) during the preliminaries of the league event...was 13th in the decathlon during the Jim Click Combined Events with 6,195 points (Apr. 4-5).
INDOOR: Finished eighth in the heptathlon at the MPSF Championships by scoring 5,075 points...was 14th in the UW Invitational Heptathlon (Jan. 25-26) by scoring 4,190 points...finished seventh in the 60m at the Texas A&M Invitational Feb. 9 (:7.06).
2012 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished a Matador-best fifth in the decathlon at the Big West Championships...scored 6,441 points which included season-bests in three events (100 meters, 110 hurdles, long jump)...scored a Matatdor best 6,465 points at the season opening Northridge Invitational (Mar 15-16) which was good for fourth place...posted season-bests of 15-7 in the pole vault and 6-2 3/4 in the high jump at the Hawaii Rainbow Relays (Mar. 23-24)...also tied for seventh in the pole vault at the conference championship meet with a top clearance of 15-5.
INDOOR: Placed 13th in the heptathlon at the MPSF Indoor Championships with a season best total of 4,945 points...also posted indoor season-bests of :6.95 in the 60m, 9.23 in the 60m hurdles, 6-2 in the high jump and 15-1 n the pole vault.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent 2010-11 as a decathlete at Mt. SAC...the Mounties were South Coast Conference champions as well as southern California champions for coach Ron Kamaka...earned his associate of arts degree in Kinesiology.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Bonita High School...earned All-Mira Monte League accolades and was MVP of the Bearcats track team...lettered as a guard for the basketball team and a running back for the football squad...the Bearcats basketball posted a 24-2 record.
PERSONAL: Son of Yalonda Harris...major is psychology...has two brothers, David and Keith and two sisters, Jennifer and Kiara...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers,Olympic decathlete Ashton Eaton, the movie "Training Day" and spaghetti...says his top sports moment is "everytime I PR in an event"...says the toughest thing about being a collegiate athleteis "balancing school and sports"...listens to music as a pre-meet ritual.
