OUTDOOR: Began the season by placing second in the 1500m (3:55.90) at the CSUN Invitational...won the Pasadena Games' 1500m in a time of 3:53.82...was sixth in the 1500m at the Texas Invitational (3:57.29)...posted a career best in the 800m at the adidas Steve Scott Invitational, 1:54.93, to finish 13th...charted career best in the 1500m when he finished fifth at the 1500m (3:50.87)...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Ran the mile three times...posted career best 4:12.64 at the Texas A&M Invitational...was 12th in the mile at the Great Dane Classic (4:19.41)...posted 4:13.17 at the MPSF Championship to place 22nd...competed in the 800m at the NYU Team Challenge...ran 2:01.76 to finish 11th...named Academic All-MPSF.
CROSS COUNTRY: Ran cross country for the first time for CSUN...opened season by winning the UNLV Desert Invitational in a season best time 25:29.40...was ninth (26:00) at the CSUN Collegiate Invitational...finished 36th at the Big West Championships (25:58.20)...was 169th at the NCAA West Regional (33:28.10).
2012 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished ninth in the 1500m at the Big West Championship by running a season best 3:54.73....won the 1500m at the Rainbow Relays (4:21.82)...charted second at the Cal State LA Tommy Lister Invitational in the 1500m (3:59.52)...opened outdoor season by running a season best in the 800m (1:57.14)...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Was 22nd in the mile at the MPSF Championship in a season best 4:17.12...recorded a 26th place showing in the 800m in a season best time of 1:57.51 at the MPSF's...recorded a season best ninth in the mile (4:30.24) at the Boise State Team Challenge...placed 15th in the mile (4:19.33) to begin the season at the Great Dane Classic...named Academic All-MPSF.
2011 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Placed 11th in the 1,500m at the Big West Championship...ran a season best 3:51.96 in the final...also ran 4:01.86 to finish third at the Cal State LA Tiny Lister Classic...clocked a career-best 1:56.76 in the 800m to place 13th among 41 runners at the Asics/Steve Scott Invitational ...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Placed 31st in the 3,000m at the MPSF Championship after running a season best 9:03.14...ran the anchor leg of the distance medley relay that finished 10th in 10:30.75...clocked a season best 15:39.14 in the 5,000m at the UW Invitational.
2010 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Finished 15th in the 1,500 meters at the Big West Championship in a time of 3:59.55...ran a season best 3:59.34 at the Cal State LA Tommy Lister Classic (Apr. 24)...also had Northridge's best 3,000m time of the season, clocking a 8:51.37 at Cal State LA...also ran the 800 (1:59.51) and 5,000(15:19.16).
INDOOR: Placed 25th in the 3,000m at the MPSF Championship in a season best time of 8:58.11...ran a season best 4:30.80 in the mile at the Boise State Invitational (Feb. 13).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif...earned All-Tri Valley League in cross country in 2008 and earned All-CIF honors in 2007...was the league champion in the 800m in 2009...the Lions were three-time state finalists...ran best time of :53.00 in the 400m, 2:00 in the 800m, 4:20 in the 1,600m, 9:58 in the 3,200m and 15:58 in the 5k...graduate with a 4.2 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Cecilie and Harrison Hays...a business major. has one brother, Harrison and two sisters, Heather and Hayley...his father ran cross country and track at Wichita State...favorites include the Los Angeles Dodgers, U.S.soccer player Landon Donovan, the TV show "The Office" and the movie "Lord of the Rings" ...lists Chad Hall as the best athlete ever competed against.
