2007 (R-JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Became Cal State Northridge's first men's National Champion in 16 years of Division I competition after capturing the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif...jumped 25-2 1/2 on his first attempt to hold off Louisville's Tone Belt...became the first Matador All-American since Billy Bush in 2000...posted a lifetime-best of 25-4 3/4 in winning the Big West long jump championship...also won the Big West triple jump title with a lifetime-best 51-7 1/4 and was named Big West Field Athlete of the Year...both marks rank among the top-10 in Matador history...placed third in the triple jump at the NCAA West Regional with a leap of 51-5 to advance to the NCAA Championships...jumped 50-1 3/4 but failed to advance to the event final.
INDOOR: Won the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championship long jump title with a personal-best 25-4 3/4 and placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 48-9 1/2.
2006 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
2005 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Was one of four Matador men to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif...jumped 23-4 1/2 in the long jump qualifying but did not reach the event final...finished fourth at the NCAA West Regionals with a long jump of 24-7...claimed the Big West long jump title with a season-best leap of 25-3 1/4 at the Big West Outdoor Championship...also placed second in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 51-3 3/4.
INDOOR: Finished sixth in the long jump (24-1) and 11th in the triple jump (46-10 1/4) at the MPSF Championship...jumped an indoor season-best 24-1 1/2 n the long jump at the Husky Classic and posted a 49-2 1/2 in the triple jump at the same meet to move into sixth-place on the all-time Northridge Indoor list.
2004 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Earned All-Big West Conference honors with a long jump of 24-3 1/2, which was second at the meet...bettered that mark with a leap of 24-5 at the NCAA West Regional in Northridge...his mark ranks fourth on the all-time Northridge freshman long jump list...also finished sixth in the triple jump at the Big West Championships with a mark of 47-6 1/4.
INDOOR: During the indoor season set a season-best with a long jump of 24-2 1/2 which was good for a fourth-place finish at the MPSF Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Moon Valley High School...earned four letters as a sprinter/jumper...earned All-State honors in 2003 and was elected team captain the same season...posted a 23-8 long jump to win the state title and recorded a personal-best 46-6 in the triple jump...graduated with a 3.3 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Betty King and Tony Andrews...major is Kinesiology...has competed for the Arizona Rising Club Team and the Junior Olympics...hobbies include track, shopping and working out...listens to music to psych himself up for a meet.
