2008 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
2007 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Advanced to the NCAA Championships in both the long jump and triple jump...finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of
23-6 and finished 24th in the triple jump with a mark of 49-6 1/4 finished third in the long jump at the NCAA West Regionals with a lifetime-best leap of 24-10 and was eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 49-7 3/4 posted a career-best 52-2 3/4 in the triple jump at the Steve Scott Invitational at UC Irvine...finished second to teammate DaShalle Andrews in both the long jump and triple jump at the Big West Championship helping the Matadors to the men’s team title.
INDOOR: Placed second in the triple jump at the WAC Indoor Championship with a jump of 49-10 and was seventh in the long jump with a mark of 22-5 3/4...his career-best triple jump mark of 50-0, set at the UW Invitational, ranks fifth on the all-time Matador indoor records list.
2006 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Reached the NCAA West Regional in both the long jump and triple jump...jumped 24-2 1/2 to place 10th in the long jump and jumped 49-4 1/4 in the triple jump to finish in 12th place...finished second in the Big West in the triple jump with a mark of 50-1 1/4...recorded a career-best 50-8 1/4 in the triple jump at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine and posted a career-best 24-5 1/2 in the long jump at the Trojan Invitational.
INDOOR: Finished third in the long jump at the WAC Indoor Championship after posting a personal-best 24-3 3/4 (eighth-best in Northridge indoor history)...also jumped a personal-best 49-8.50 at the WAC Championships which ranks sixth in Matador indoor history.
2005 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Qualified for the triple jump at the Big West Championship but fouled in the event final...also qualified for the long jump final and finished eighth with a personal-best 23-2...jumped an outdoor season-best 45-10.50 in the triple jump at the Mt. SAC
Relays.
INDOOR: Finished eighth in the long jump with a personal-best 23-6 1/4 at the MPSF Championship which ranks 10th on the CSUN
Indoor Records list...placed 14th in the triple jump with a mark of 45-9 at the MPSF's...had an indoor season-best 46-1 1/2 at the Athletes.com Invitational.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Downey High School...lettered in track and basketball...named track team MVP three times from 2001-2003...holds freshman, sophomore and varsity triple jump records...personal best was 18-7 in the triple jump as a junior
in 2003...graduated with a 3.05 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Dolores and Rolando Felizola...major is Kinesiology...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Piston Ben Wallace, “The Simpsons” and the movie “Remember the Titans”...says his greatest moment in sports is holding the triple jump record at Downey High School.
