Matadors Continue Indoor Season in Washington This Weekend
Full ResultsÂ
BRONX, N.Y. --- The CSUN men's and women's track & field programs continued to impress with their recent performance at the 2017 Armory Invitational in New York City. On the women's side, Gardenia Centanaro tied for fifth in the pole vault while Monique Griffiths posted a fifth-place finish in the weight throw. On the men's side, Louis Pancotti tied for fifth in the pole vault while Lohnnie Tape-Jackson placed seventh in the high jump, Zachary Rosales recorded a seventh-place finish in the shot put and Dawaun Lucas finished seventh in the weight throw.Â
"A lot of great things happened this past weekend. Our continued assault of our indoor record books is an example of that and a great indication of where we're going," said CSUN head coach Avery Anderson. "We had every event group contribute to the all-time indoor record list. The distances, throws, jumps and sprints all had athletes step up and compete very well. All of the distance runners that came on the trip set personal bests in their events. I thought that was outstanding."
