2013
Tommy Simis appeared in 17 games and made 14 starts in his final season with the team. He compiled a .295 batting average and had three doubles while driving in three runs. Simis also dropped down five sacrifice bunts in 2013 and scored four runs for Northridge. He matched his career high with three hits on March 9th at Sacramento State.
2012
Simis got two hits in the series at Sacramento State, both singles. In the home opener against #22 UCLA, Simis went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. In the series against Northwestern, Simis went 3-for-9 with three RBI and three runs scored. He batted 2-for-5 with an RBI against San Francisco (3/4) at the SDSU Aztec Invitational. Simis went 2-for-4 twice against Indiana (3/9, 3/11) and picked up an RBI in the finale. He came into the game against CSU Bakersfield (4/24) as a defensive replacement in the top of the ninth and made two putouts and one assist at second base. Simis made back-to-back starts against Long Beach State (4/28-29) and had a pair of RBIs in the series. He came on as a sub against UC Irvine (5/12) and went 1-for-1 at the plate. Simis had three hits, a run scored and an RBI in the series at Pacific (5/25 - 5/27).
2011
Tommy Simis returned for another full season for the Matadors in 2011 and finished the season with a .258 batting average, 11 doubles, four home runs and 29 RBI. He appeared in all but one game for the Matadors (51 starts) and was second on the team in multi-hit games (16) and led the squad with 10 multi-RBI performances. he went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI vs. Seattle University (2/20), went 2-for-5 with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored against Valparaiso (2/26), and went 1-for-4 with an RBI and run scored in the win at Lamar (3/6). He hit 2-for-4 with two RBI in the win over San Diego State (3/8), went 2-for-3 with two runs scored against Lafayette (3/12 Gm. 1), and hit 1-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored vs. UNLV (3/15). Simis went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI against Sacramento State (3/18 Gm. 2) and hit his first home run of the year and had two RBI the next day (3/19). He hit 2-for-4 with an RBI vs. LMU (3/25), went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run vs. Bakersfield (4/8), and went 2-for-4 and drove in the tying and winning runs with a two-out double in the bottom of the ninth against UCSB (4/12). He had a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth against Pacific (4/22) and a three-run double in his next at-bat (4/23) to collect his first two three-RBI games of the year. Simis went 2-for-4 with a two-run single at San Diego State (5/10), went 2-for-5 against UC Riverside (5/15) and his two-out solo home run in the bottom of the ninth sparked a six-run rally to force extras. He scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th of that game. Simis went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base at Long Beach State (5/22) and had a 2-for-4 day with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the season finale against Cal State Fullerton (5/29).
2010
Tommy Simis participated in seven games, had six at-bats, drove in one run, hit one home run, and scored once before redshirting the remainder of the season.
2009
Simis made his Matador debut in the weekend series against Columbia University and hit 2-for-3 with one RBI in game one of a doubleheader vs. Columbia (3/21). He hit his first double of the season in game two vs. Columbia (3/22), collected one hit in his only at-bat at LMU (3/24), and hit another double vs. UNLV (3/31). He drove in one RBI in back-to-back games vs. UNLV (3/31 and 4/1), hit a season and career-high four RBI, including the tying and winning runs vs. Pepperdine (4/21), and drove in his eighth run of the season vs. UC Riverside (4/25). He batted 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and a double at UC Irvine (5/2), scored two runs vs. USC (5/10), and finished the year with three multi-hit games and one of only two Matadors to drive in four runs in a game. Simis started 19 games at second base, splitting time at that position, and had a season-high seven assists vs. USC (5/10), the most of any Matador this season and finished fourth on the team with an on base percentage of .387.
POWAY HIGH SCHOOL
Simis was a three-year letterwinner in baseball for coach Bob Parry and the Titans, and was named captain all three seasons. He batted .350 and had a fielding percentage of .990 during his high school career and was a member of the 2006 and 2008 CIF State and Palomar League championship teams. He was also named MVP for his success during the 2008 season.
