2014
Michael Livingston competed in 40 games for the Matadors in his junior season and made 25 starts. A designated hitter and utility infieldier, Livingston hit .168 with 18 hits and eight RBIs in 2014. He drew 12 walks and stole four bases for CSUN as well. Livingston had four multi-hit games and set a career high with 3 RBIs against Seattle (2/22). On the season, Livingston had three doubles and one triple.
2013
Livingston played a variety of positions in his second season with the Matadors. Before settling in as the starting second baseman, Livingston also took reps in the outfield and at third base. He finished second on the team with a .280 batting average and was the leadoff hitter in most of CSUN's games this year. Livingston had 45 hits, including six doubels and a triple, while driving in 11 runs and scoring 32 times. His 31 walks drawn were also second on the team and he had six sacrifice bunts and six stolen bases. Livingston matched a career high with three hits on two occasions and set a new mark for RBIs with two in a game twice this year.
2012
Livingston made his first appearance of his career against UC Santa Barbara (4/5) and earned his first start the next day. He picked up his first collegiate hit against the Gauchos (4/6) on a bunt back to the pitcher. Livingston had a breakout day offensively by going 3-for-4 against #27 Cal Poly (4/14 - Game 2) to raise his batting average nearly 200 points. He went 2-for-4 with a run scored and recorded his first double at #11 UCLA (4/17). Livingston came on as a pinch runner and scored the tying run in the bottom of the 12th in a win over Long Beach State (4/28). He went 2-for-4 in the opener against UC Irvine (5/11), bringing in his first RBI, and added another on a squeeze bunt the next day.
PALMDALE HIGH SCHOOL
Livingston was a two-sport athlete for the Falcons, also competing in basketball as a freshman. He played four seasons with the baseball team as an infielder and pitcher, helping his team reach the CIF playoffs all four seasons and win the Cecil Fielder World Series in 2010. He was named the 2011 MVP and earned 1st Team All-League accolades as a junior in senior. As a junior, he led the Golden League in home runs (five), RBI (36) and slugging percentage (.868). As a senior, he led the league in on-base percentage (.641). Livingston graduated with honors in 2011 with a 3.5 GPA.
