2014 (R-JUNIOR/SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Concentrated on the 110m hurdles, running the event five times...posted a career best in the race at the Apr. 26 Fresno State Bulldog Invitational when he ran :14.50 to win the event...was 12th in the preliminary of the Big West Championships' 110m hurdles (:14.92).
INDOOR: Competed in the 60m hurdles three times with a season best :8.43 coming during the preliminaries of the MPSF Championship Feb. 28...earned a season best fifth in the 60m hurdles at the Jan. 18 Saturday Night Shootout (:8.48)...was 14th in the pole vault at the Saturday Night Shootout (13-7 1/4).
2013 (R-SOPHOMORE/JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished eighth in the decathlon at the Big West Championships (May 3-4)...scored a total of 6,344 points to finish just behind teammate Derrick Harris (6,472)...finished in the top-three in the 110m hurdles (season-best :14.88) during the decathlon while also finishing fourth in the 100m...also qualified for the 110 hurdles at the conference championship meet where he placed seventh in a time of :14.95...ran 14.96 in the prelims to grab the final qualifying spot in the final...also qualified for the 400m hurdles prelims where he finished just out of qualifying for the final in a season-best :55.89.
INDOOR SEASON: Did not compete.
2012 (R-FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Finished sixth in the Big West Championships in the decathlon...scored a career-best 6,407 points which included season bests in the 100m, 400m, high jump, and long jump...reached the final of the 110m hurdles where he finished fifth in a season-best :14.64...ran a season best :14.63 in the prelims.
INDOOR: Placed 20th at the MPSF Championship (Feb.25) in the heptathlon after scoring 4,251 points...posted CSUN's second fastest time in the 60m (:8.35) at the Great Dane Classic (Jan. 20)...named Academic All-MPSF.
2011 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Redshirted the outdoor season due to injury.
INDOOR: Finished ninth in the heptathlon at the MPSF Championship...scored a season-best 4930 points...won the 60m hurdles in a season best :8.24...was fourth in the 60 meters in a season best :7.21.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Granite Hills High School...earned All-CIF, All-State and All-League honors in the 110 hurdles and 330 hurdles as well as All-CIF and all-league honors in the pole vault...finished second in the state as a junior in the 110 hurdles and was third as a senior...also played safety for the Eagles football team.
PERSONAL: Son of Karen and Paul Finley...undecided upon a major...has one sister, Heather who attended UC San Diego and one brother, Scott who attended UC Santa Barbara...favorite actor is Edward Norton, favorite movie is "Green Street Hooligans" and favorite food is Italian...says the best thing about being an athlete is "competing" and the toughest is "balancing school, sleep and athletics" ...likes to sleep in his spare time...lists Steve Prefontaine as the one person in history he would like to meet.
