2015 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished fifth in the shot put at the Big West Championships with a career best toss of 54-4...posted a career best in the hammer throw when he finished second at the Mar. 20 Northridge Invitational (169-2)...reset career best in the discus (148-11) when he placed fifth at the Northridge Invitational...was fifth in the shot (50-8) during the Apr. 16 Cal State LA Twilight Open...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Reset career best in the weight throw when he came in ninth at the Jan. 24 Lobo Collegiate Open (49-6 1/2)...established career indoor best in the shot put (50-4 1/4) during the season opening Armory Track Invitational (Jan. 31)...named Academic All-MPSF.
2014 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Was 12th in both the hammer (157-9) and the shot put (48-9) at the Big West Championships...finished 13th in the discus (144-10)...won the discus at the Rainbow Relays (Apr. 11) with a season-best of 146-4...posted season-best of 163-0 in the hammer during the Rainbow Relays.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Was a thrower for two years at Santiago Canyon College...named track and field team captain for the Hawk sunder Coach Shawn Cummins...earned MVP honors for the Hawks as well as points leader...was named All-American in the shot put...earned his associate of arts degree in 2013 with a 3.34 grade point average.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of El Modena High School...was a thrower for the Vanguards earning Century League titles in the both the discus (2009) and the shot put (2010)...was a two-time MVP (2010, 2011)...named Athlete of the Meet in 2009, 2010 and 2011...graduated with a 3.4 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Deborah Jones...has two older sisters, Lacy and Andrea...favorites include German shot putter Ulf Timmermann, actor Rainn Wilson, the TV show "The Office" and pizza....says if he were forced to listen to one CD it would be Waking the Fallen by Anenged Sevenfold.
