OUTDOOR: Finished sixth in the 400m at the Big West Championships May 16 when he ran a season best :48.38...was part of CSUN's 4x400m relay at the Big West's that finished fourth (3:13.99)...ran a season best :22.52 when he placed sixth at the Apr. 26 Fresno State Bulldog Invitational.
INDOOR: Ran a season best :7.21 in the 60m when he came in 24th during the preliminaries of the MPSF Championships Feb. 28...also competed in 200, 400, and 500m during the indoor season.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of San Leandro High School...earned All-State honors in the 400 meters as a senior...was All-State as a junior as a member of the Pirates' 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams...a part of the Hayward Area Athletic League champion in the 4x400 in 2010, 2011 and 2012...top time in the 400 meters was 47.50 while his relay teams posted top times of 41.83 in the 4x100 and 3:18 in the 4x400.
PERSONAL
Son of Sheila Prados and Orlando Carter...stepfather is Clarence Samuels...a communications major...has three sisters, Ari, Joi, Mia and LaVaughn...favorites include the New York Jets, former NFL running back Bo Jackson, the TV show "Family Guy" and the movie "The Lion King" ...says his greatest sports moments were "Winning Mt. SAC" and an "86-yard kickoff return"...says the toughest thing about being an athlete is "all the pair your body goes through".
