OUTDOOR: Set season best in the discus when he finished seventh at the UCR Spring Break Classic Mar. 29 (149-8)...recorded season best in the shot put (48-0 3/4) at the Stanford Invitational when he placed 12th...threw the hammer a season best 147-11 at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational May 3...finished 15th in both the shot (47-6 1/4) and the discus (139-5).
INDOOR: Did not compete.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Ventura High School...was a thrower for the Cougars under coaches Ramona Pagel and Fred Morgan...Earned All-County honors in 2011 and 2012...was also a two-time league champion.
PERSONAL: Son of Lisa and Robert Beilke...undecided upon a major...has one older brother and two older sisters...favorites include the Green Bay Packers, actor Leonardo Dicaprio, pizza and comedian Dmitri Martin...says the best thing about being an athlete is "traveling with teammates"...says the best advice ever received was“to remove ‘I can’t’ from your vocabulary”.
