Jacob Payne joined the Matadors as a freshman pitcher and redshirted in 2014.
GRANADA HIGH SCHOOL
Payne pitched two seasons at Granada High School in Livermore, Calif. In his senior season, the Matadors compiled a 24-2 record and Payne was named to the All-League and All-Bay Area teams. While at Granada HS, he had a 0.44 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 80 innings pitched.
