2015 (R-SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Opened outdoor season by running a career best :10.95 in the 100m during the Mar. 14 CSUN Invitational...finished fifth in both the 200m and the 400m at the Sacramento State Mondo Mid Major Challenge Apr. 4...helped CSUN finish third in the 4x400m relay at the Texas Invitational Apr. 11 (3:14.25)...charted career best :47.42 in the 400m to placed fourth in the Big West Championships May 16...recorded career best in the 200m (:21.55) during the prelims of the 200m at the Big West's....finished eighth in the finals of the 200m May 16 (:22.01)...competed in the NCAA West Regional as part of the Matadors' 4x100m relay after helping the 4x1 win the event at the Big West Championships (:40.06)...the 4x1 was 13th during the prelims of the regional meet in a time of :39.93, the second fastest time in school history.
2014 (SENIOR/R-JUNIOR):
OUTDOOR: Competed in three events before receiving a redshirt...put up a :48.23 in the 400m at the USC Trojan Invitational (Mar. 22).
INDOOR: Helped CSUN win the 1600m sprint medley relay (3:33.16) at the Saturday Night Shootout on Jan. 18...his season best of :49.00 in the 400m came at both the Mountain T's Invitational (Feb. 8) and the MPSF Championships (Mar. 1)...placed 12th in the 200m (:21.91) and 15th in the 400m at the MPSF's.
2013 (JUNIOR/R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Finished fourth in the 400m in a season best :47.69 at the Big West Championships (May 11)..went :48.23 in the prelims...ran the second leg of the Matadors' 4x400m relay that finished fourth in a season-best 3:13.30...season best :22.07 came in the 200m at both the Stanford Invitational (Mar. 30) and Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational (Apr. 28).
INDOOR: Came in 20th (:49.18) in the 400m at the MPSF Championships (Feb. 23)...indoor-best of :48.70 came at the NYU Team Challenge where he finished second...the :48.70 is ninth on the all-time CSUN Indoor list...posted a season-best :22.77 in the 200m at the Great Dane Classic (Jan. 18).
2012 (SOPHOMORE/R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Finished fifth in the 400m final in a season best time of :48.58 at the Big West Championships (May 12)..ran a :48.80 in the prelims...clocked a season best :21.65 in the 200m prelims at the Cal-Nevada Championships (Apr. 1)...was the second leg of the Matadors' 4x400 relay that finished fifth at the conference championships in 3:16.59.
INDOOR: Ran a lifetime indoor-best 48.84 at the MPSF Indoor Championships (Feb. 25) to finish 12th ... also posted an indoor-best 22.05 in the 200 meters at the Jackson's Invitational (Jan. 29) as well as running the opening leg of the 4x400 meter relay that ran an indoor season-best 3:25.60 at the same meet.
2011 (FRESHMAN/REDSHIRT)
OUTDOOR: Ran a best :48.58 in the 400m at the Mt. SAC Relays (Apr. 17)...clocked a season best :21.92 in the 200m at the Tiny Lister Classic (Apr. 23),,,ran the opening leg of the 4x400m relay team that posted a season best of 3:18.58 to place seventh at the Big West Championships (May 14).
INDOOR: Redshirted the 2011 indoor season at CSUN.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of James Logan High School in Union City, Calif...earned first team All-MVAL honors three times (2008-10)...was a sprinter for coach Lee Webb...the Colts won the MVAL title from 2008-11...came in fourth in the 400 meters at the 2010 California State meet...graduated with a 3.35 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Pamela Frazier Jones and Henry Jones...a Sociology major...has one sister, Karimah who attends Cal State Dominguez Hills...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, actor Denzel Washington and Jada Pinkett-Smith...favorite website is Facebook and Dyestatcal.com...once met MC Hammer ...says the best thing about being an athlete is "being able to compete with the best" and the toughest is "trying to stay calm and focus".
