OUTDOOR: Placed seventh in the 1500m at the Big West Championship in a season-best time of 4:34.76...finished 13th in the 5000m (17:40.39) at the Big West's...was third in the 800m (2:15.07) at the Cal State LA Twilight Open...was second (4:53.45) in the 1500m and third in the 800m (2:20.55) at the Rainbow Relays.
INDOOR: Finished 22nd in the 5000m (18:07.74) and 28th in the mile at the MPSF Championship...was second in the 3000m (10:37.68) and eighth in the mile (5:15.54) during the Boise State Team Challenge...ran a season best in the 3000m at the Great Dane Classic (10:35.40).
2011 (R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Was injured and did not compete.
INDOOR: Was injured and did not compete.
2010 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR:Â Ran a season-best 5:17.18 in the 1,500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 16)...posted a 2:37.90 in the 800m at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
2009 (REDSHIRT):Â Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program at CSUN.Â
HIGH SCHOOL:Â A 2008 graduate of Reseda High School in Reseda, Calif...competed in track & field, cross country and soccer...named track team MVP in 2008 and cross country MVP in 2007...was the LA City 1600 meter champion in 2008...also earned All-Valley Mission League honors as a midfielder for the Regents soccer team.
PERSONAL:Â Daughter of Ana Mazariegos and Neftali Rosales...major is Kinesiology...has four brothers, Tony, Damaso, Alex and Frank...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers and FC Barcelona soccer, actor Adam Sandler, the TV show "Prison Break" and the movies "Pearl Harbor" and "Without Limits"...says the toughest thing about being an athlete is "how mentally tough you have to be."Â
