2012 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Was sixth in the discus at the Big West Championship (137-8)...finished 11th in the hammer throw (149-6) and 15th in the shot put (36-5) at the Big West's...reset career bests in the shot (40-0, eighth) and the discus (141-3, seventh) at the Cal State LA Twilight Open..placed third in the hammer throw (159-8) at the Cal State LA Tiny Lister Classic…named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Competed in three events...finished 14th at the MPSF Championship in the weight throw by recording a career best toss of 50-10 3/4...named Academic All-MPSF.
2011 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Threw a best of 156-8 at the Big West Championship to finish eighth...had the Matadors' top hammer mark of the season, 163-0 at the Northridge Invitational...posted a season-best of 133-4 in the discus at Pomona-Pitzer and 36-0 1/4 in the shot put at the Aztec Invitational.
INDOOR: Finished 11th in the weight throw at the MPSF Championship with a season best mark of 48-10 1/4...also had best of 34-5 1/2 in the shot put to finish 18th at the MPSF's.
PRIOR TO CSUN:Â Competed for two seasons at Spokane Falls Community College...was an NWAACC track & field All-American in the hammer in 2009...also threw the discus and shot for the Sasquatch and coach Ryan Weidman...earned her Associate of Arts degree in 2010.
HIGH SCHOOL:Â A 2007 graduate of North Central High School...competed in the discus and shot put for the Indians track & field team and was a goalkeeper for the soccer team...graduated with a 3.2 grade point average.
PERSONAL:Â Daughter of Lori and Doug Wordell...major is deaf studies...has three brothers, Spencer, Andrew and D.J...both parents attended Washington State...favorites include the Seattle Seahawks, actors Heath Ledger and Mandy Moore, the TV show "House" and the movie "The Little Mermaid"...favorite website is YouTube...chose CSUN "for the deaf studies program and the track & field team"...lists her best sports moment as "throwing 171 feet in the hammer"...says the best thing about being an athlete is "meeting new people" and the toughest is "finding a balance between academics and athletics"...says C.S. Lewis is the one person in history she would like to meet.
