2012 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished fourth in the 400m at the Big West Championship (:55.89)...a member of the 4x400m relay that placed fourth at the Big West's...a member of the 4x400m relay that advanced to the NCAA West Regional that ran 3:42.53 to come in 22nd during the preliminaries May 25...ran career bests in the 200m (:25.07) and the 400m (:54.69) at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational Apr. 29.
INDOOR: Finished 15th in the 400m at the MPSF Championship (Feb. 25) in a time of :56.20...was fourth in the 400m in a season best time of :55.21 at the Boise State Team Challenge (Feb. 11)...finished fourth in the 800m at the Jackson's Invitational (2:12.65) on Jan. 28.
2011 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished fifth in the 400 meters at the Big West Championship in a season-best :55.73 in the final...CSUN's top 800m time of the season after running 2:11.86 to finish first at the USC Trojan Quad Meet (Apr. 2)...a part of the Big West champion 4x400m relay team that ran 3:41.41.
INDOOR: Placed 11th in the 400m at the MPSF Championship in a season best :56.51.
2010 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: A member of the Matador 4x400 relay team that advanced to the NCAA Championships...ran the opening leg of the relay that ran 3:42.56 but did not reach the final...qualified for the 800m at the NCAA West Regional where she finished 44th in the prelims in a time of 2:19.91...a member of the Northridge 4x400m relay ran a season-best 3:37.29 to claim the 12th and final qualifying spot for the NCAA Championships...ran 2:15.05 in the prelims of the 800m at the Big West Championship but did not reach the final...shattered her previous best after clocking a time of 2:09.58 to finish third in the 800 at the Steve Scott Invitational (May 2)...ran a 400m season best of :55.49 at the Mt. SAC Relays (Apr, 17).
INDOOR: Put up a time of 2:12.53 in the 800m finals at the MPSF Championship...ran the anchor leg of the 4x400m relay team that finished seventh in a season-best 3:46.78...named Academic All-MPSF.
2009 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Was part of Northridge's NCAA West Regional 4x400m relay team...finished fifth in the 400m final at the Big West Championship (:56.21)...ran the third leg of the Big West champion 4x400m meter relay team that ran 3:40.43...ran a season-best :55.31 in the 400m at the Cal-Nevada Championships at UCLA (Mar. 29) which ranks seventh on the Northridge freshman career list...clocked a Northridge season best time of 2:14.17 in the 800m at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational at UCLA (Apr. 10).
INDOOR: Competed in two events...ran a best of :56.00 in the 400m to finish fourth at the Husky Classic Feb. 14
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Deer Valley High School...earned Bay Valley Athletic League honors in track all four years (2004-08)...was a first-team selection from 2006-08...named team captain as a senior in 2008...track team won four consecutive BVAL and NCS titles...won the Golden Shoe award for the Wolverines cross country team in 2007...also earned MVP and outstanding defense honors for the basketball squad in 2007.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Tina and James Cox...has two sisters, Jalicia and Jamira...Jalicia attends Laney College in Oakland, Calif...was also recruited by Cal Poly, Washington, Cincinnati, Oregon and Texas...favorites include Olympic sprinter Sonya Richards, actors Heath Ledger and Kate Hudson and singer Keyshia Cole..says she chose Northridge because of the location and good coaching...says the best thing about being an athlete is "traveling, meeting new people and having someone push you to be better"...favorite website is myspace.com.
