2015 (SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: A member of the CSUN 4x100m relay that ran the second fastest time in school history (:39.93) in the preliminaries of the NCAA West Regional...a part of the CSUN 4x1 relay that won the Big West title (:40.06)...placed second in the 100m at the Big West Championships (:10.61)...was third in the 200m at the Big West's in a career best :21.17...won the 100m at the Mar. 28 UCR Spring Classic in a season best time :10.53...won the 200m (:21.19) at the Northridge Invitational Mar. 21...won the 100m to open the outdoor season Mar. 14 at the CSUN Invitational (:10.54)...named Academic All-Conference.
INDOOR: Finished ninth in the preliminaries of the 60m at the MPSF Championships Feb. 27 in a time of :6.84...named Academic All-MPSF.
2014 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Reached the NCAA West Preliminary for the third time in his career in the 100m but first as a Matador...finished 30th in the first round in a time of :10.61...finished third at the Big West Championships after clocking a season-best :10.45 which tied for 10th on the all-time CSUN list...also qualified for the Big West 200m but was called for a false start in the prelims...ran a 200 season-best :22.16 at the Stanford Invitational (Apr. 5)...ran the second leg of the Matadors' 4x100 relay that clocked a season-best :40.99 at the Bulldog Invitational (Apr. 26).
INDOOR: Did not compete
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two seasons (2011-12) at CSU Bakersfield...was named Great West Conference Athlete of the Meet in 2012 as well as Athlete of the Year after claiming both 100 and 200m Great West Conference titles...won both the 100 and 200 meters at the Cal-Nevada Championships...earned NCAA All-Academic honors in 2011...top times were :10.27 in the 100 meters and :20.84 in the 200m.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Knight High School...was named the Hawks' track team MVP as a senior in 2010...was the Golden League champion in the 100 meters (:10.53) and the 200 meters (:21.41).
PERSONAL: Son of Norma and Darryl Taylor...major is Economics...has two brothers, Kaleb and Nick and one sister, Karla...favorites include the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Bronco Peyton Manning, actor Denzel Washington and the TV show "Supernatural"...his advice to young people is "think for yourself".
