OUTDOOR: Qualified for the high jump at the Big West Championship...finished ninth with a top jump of 6-2 3/4...placed fifth in the high jump with a lifetime-best of 6-6 at Cal State LA’s Tiny Lister Classic.
INDOOR: Reached the high jump final at the MPSF Championship but did not record a height in the final...indoor season-best was 6-2 1/4 at the Boise State Team Challenge where he finished fourth.
2010 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Tied for 13th in the high jump at the Big West Championships...cleared a best height of 6-4 3/4 at the conference meet...finished sixth at the Northridge Invitational after clearing a season-best 6-4 3/4.
INDOOR: Posted season-best 6-1 1/2 at the season-opening UW Invitational (Jan. 30).
2009 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Logan High School in Union City, Calif...competed in track and field, basketball and football...a high jumper for the Colts’ track team in 2007 and 2008...a guard/forward for the basketball team in 2006...graduated with a 3.0
grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Martha and Joseph Oiyemhonlan...major is Electrical Engineering...has two sisters,Etuajle...who attended UC Santa Barbara and Brenda who attended UC Davis and one brother, Ehi who attended San Jose State...favorites include the Los
Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant, the TV shows “Smallville” and “Family Guy”...says the toughest thing about being an athlete is “balancing between school, practice and social life”...listens to Lil Wayne...as a pre-meet ritual.
