2011 (R-SENIOR)
OUTDOOR: Finished eighth in the 100m at the Big West Championship to cap an injury-plagued senior season...ran a season-best :10.64 in the prelims before pulling up on his way to a time of :11.93 in the final...ran the anchor leg of the conference champion 4x100m meter relay that won in a season-best :40.57...the team advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary but Waters did not run.... did not compete in any other individual meets during the outdoor season...helped the 4x400m relay finish fifth at the Cal Nevada Championships (3:19.98).
INDOOR: Finished fourth in the 60 meter final at the MPSF Championships in a time of :6.87...ran a season-best :6.83 in the prelims which was just .02 off his indoor lifetime-best.
2010 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.
2009 (JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in both the 100m and 200m...ran :10.66 to finish 27th in the preliminary round of the 100 and did not advance to the semifinals...ran 21.77 in the 200 prelims to finish 22nd...finished third in the 100m at the NCAA West Regional in Eugene, Ore. in a time of :10.43...clocked a season-best :10.42 in the prelims which ranks sixth in Matador history...claimed fourth place in the 20m final in a time of :21.32 after running a season-best 21.07 in the prelims...his time ranks seventh in Northridge history...won both the 100 and 200 meters in his first Big West Conference Championship...was named Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Year...ran :10.53 in the 100m and :21.45 in the 200m to pull off the rare double-double...ran the second leg of the conference champion 4x100m relay that won in :40.55...went on to run a season-best :40.13 in the prelims of the NCAA Regional and then finished fourth in 40.30.
INDOOR: Finished fourth in the 60m at the MPSF Championship...clocked a season-best :6.81 in the prelims before running :6.88 in the final...took second in the 200m in a season-best :21.43...his 60m time ranks ninth in CSUN indoor history while his 200m time is third.
PRIOR TO CSUN: Spent two seasons at City College of San Francisco...the Rams’ track team won Coast Conference championships in 2007 and 2008...ran a season-best :10.50 in the 100m earned his associate of arts degree in 2008.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Hercules High School...competed in track & field in 2005-06...was the Alameda Contra Costa League champion in both the 100m and 200m and was also the North Coast Section champion in both events.
PERSONAL: Son of Brenda and Bernard Waters...major is communications...also runs for the AC Track Club and Hilltop Speed...favorites include the New York Yankees, Olympic sprinter Asafa Powell, the TV show “Monk” and the movie “Hancock”...says the best thing about being an athlete is “the experience”... says the toughest thing about being an athlete in “eating right”...likes to bowl in his spare time.
