OUTDOOR: Charted a season best in the 5000m (17:45.23) at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational (Apr. 28)...ran the 3000m twice, with a best performance coming at the Cal State LA Invitational Apr. 6 (10:09.29)...posted a 4:57.15 in the 1500m at the Northridge Invitational Mar. 16.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Saw action in three events...finished 62nd in the Big West Championships (31:00.20)...ran season best 8k time of 29:48.70 at the Northridge Invitational (52nd)...was 22nd at the UNLV Invitational (29:48.70).
2012 (R-JUNIOR)
OUTDOOR: Posted a career best in the 5000m when he ran 17:05.51 to place 13th at the Cal State LA Twilight Open (Apr. 19)...was 12th in the 1500m at the Northridge Invitational (4:41.95).

2010 (R-FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Competed in the 1,500 and 3,000 meters...ran a season best 4:31.82 in the 1,500m at Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational at UCLA (Apr. 10) and ran a season best 10:11.25 in the 3,000 at the Cal State LA Tommy Lister Classic (Apr. 24)...named Academic All-Conference.

2009 (REDSHIRT): Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons for the Matadors.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of John Burroughs High School...competed in both cross country and track for coach John Peebles...graduated with a 3.3 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Son of Ana and Eduardo Garcia...major is Cinema-TV Arts...has two sisters, Christy and Susy who both attended CSUN...favorites include the TV show "Heroes", the movies "The Dark Knight" and "Office Space" and the band Sublime...says the best thing about being an athlete is "the cool people you meet"...once met the cast of "Pineapple Express".
